New Forum - Yay!

Postby reberclark » Wed Jan 29, 2014 1:32 am

So this is the new Garritan forum! Can anyone tell me if the old Northern Sounds posts have been migrated to this board, or are we starting from scratch? Thanks!

Hi, Chip! Glad you found your way here. As you can see, this is all pretty new, and needs more members and participation - so hope you drop by at least from time to time!

The other Forum is still there, going along fine--Hey, I answered a post of yours there just yesterday!

I would say this MM Forum is an additional Forum, not a replacement of the other one. That 10+ history of posts are all there, traffic is still heavy there, and PaPaChalk recently indicated he has no intention of shutting it down.

So - there are two Garritan homes online - The more the merrier!

Thanks Randy and Michael! Been away for quite awhile doing music stuff. Lots going on. I did notice the Northern Sounds forum is still up - that was such a great place which excellent people and solid, usable info (I found an old post that I was looking for just the other day). I hope that the same thing happens here. I have found the Finale forum on MakeMusic to be a bit colder than the Garritan forum, but that was awhile ago. So...we shall see how it goes!

Hi Randy, unfortunately it was not the video post I was looking for. It was another one on how I made "streamers and punches" in Sony Vegas Pro for syncing music cues to video. It had been so long since I had used that method, even though I wrote the post, I couldn't quite recall what I did! Finding that post helped. Still looking for that "Video Start time" post of yours!
