Quick MIDI Question

Hey All!

Just a quick MIDI Question:

I'm using GPO in Overture 5 and was wondering what 'MIDI Channels' refers to? I've been using multiple instances of Aria on multiple tracks, all on MIDI channel 1 (without problems).

I'm not sure how (in general) to use multiple channels and their benefits (in relation to Aria/GPO) ...thanks all!

(Also a forum question: How do I create a signature? Forum says: 'signatures can be altered via the UCP'...unfortunately, I have no idea what 'UCP' means...thanks again!)

By default the Aria player assigns MIDI Channel 1 to its first slot, MIDI 2 to its second slot, etc. (although MIDI channels for the slots are changeable by clicking on the channel number and reassigning the channel from a pull-down menu). That way a single instance of the Aria player can hold up to sixteen different instrument sounds which can be driven by assigning different MIDI channels to your DAW tracks.
