Our 10th Anniversary Christmas CD

Our 10th Anniversary Christmas CD

Postby Michael.B » Mon Dec 09, 2013 12:19 pm

It was so good to read that Garry (Garritan), once again, is enthusiastic about our up-coming 10th Anniversary Christmas CD. It was doubly good to know that MakeMusic is continuing to support this very special project. That's wonderful. :)

All those of us who have contributed are now awaiting completion of the final arrangements and some folk reported that this would materialise on Friday last (6th December).

If Gary or Carol Spineli sees this would you be able to let us know when those of us who have contributed will receive the necessary correspondence.

There's just over two weeks to go so we're all waiting anxiously for this special event.

Thanks again Gary and Carol.

Over in General Discussion, Michael, I see two people saying they've already sent back their release forms, and those posts are from early this morning. I would have thought they'd all be sent at once, but I don't have a form yet - Makes me wonder if perhaps MM has decided to not use any non-Finale projects?--As with all six of my Garritan Christmas contributions, I produced my arrangement in Sonar.

Guess we'll be finding out what's what.

Well I created my score in Finale as I always have done and I've not received any form.

I was just about to reply to your post over in General, Michael - Take a look there in a few minutes. I didn't mean to cause confusion. I was just hypothesizing.

That's fine Randy.

As I said there, I think the two members are referring to sending in names and song titles; the info needed by MakeMusic to send us the necessary correspondence.

Yes, I think that's right, Michael. Frank steered me right on that.-- The only slightly odd thing is that Fabio already posted three days ago that he'd sent in his info.-- And the other odd thing is that Max isn't even on the list. :?:

I thought Fabio was late being contacted. I think there are a couple of Fabios there and we could be getting them mixed up.

Regarding Max. I think he's being optimistic that if he does enough they might just accept his late entry. He's being positive about it all. Good luck to him.

Right re: Max - I looked at the list Gary A. compiled, and both Fabios are on it. I'm pretty sure we have just the two-So, even though I couldn't say which piece the Fabio on today's message submitted,- all Fabios said on the 6th that they'd sent in their info. Perhaps he just wanted to reiterate that he had indeed sent his stuff in.

I know. After all the assurances we were given in the wake of last year's near-fiasco, I sure didn't anticipate going through this same thing again of the project being horribly behind schedule.

We used to have the album out directly after Thanksgiving - And we could order boxes of hard copy CDs if wanted. There was plenty of time to spread the music around online, through the mail - It made the collection a much more effective marketing tool for Garritan. - It's a shame. And this is supposed to be the big gala 10th year anniversary edition.-- (twirls finger in air in tiny circle--whoopee)
