It's a great album of music. Thanks to all our contributors for such a variety of wonderful music. Thanks also to Carol Spenillo at MakeMusic for all her hard work. Special thanks also to Gary Garritan for starting this beautiful tradition and to our mastering engineer Dan Kury.

I've also posted this in the 'Community Christmas Volume 11 Official List' thread.

Very best wishes to everyone.

The Garritan Community Christmas Album gets better and better every year!
Can't figure what we will do in 2015.
Congratulation to everyone you fellow musicians — and to all the supporting people that made this possible.
Buon Natale a Tutti.

Wow.... this year, we have a choir! A great way to open the CD. Making a couple of copies for the family tonight!

Great work by all!

Wow! What a great CD! But I do have a question. Is anyone else having any problems printing the CD artwork? I can't seem to get the box front picture to print. The back prints great, but I'm having problems with the front.

You're not alone. I am having issues with the cover (front) and the labels.

The error message I am seeing related to an issue with an embedded font, so that may be the problem.

I've been working with Carol on it over the weekend, but it looks as though the art dept may have to get involved on Monday morning.

Stand by for further update!

Creative Printing Workaround

Postby Michael.B » Sun Dec 07, 2014 3:56 pm

Hello Galandar and Kevin,

As reported there is a problem with the font in the creative which prevents printing in many cases. I reported this to Carol on Friday and they need their Art dept. to look into it.

However, there is a workaround.

(1) Unpack the files from the downloaded zip folder.
(2) Open your graphics program; I use Photoshop Elements.
(3) Open the pdf creative directly in your graphics program.
(4) My Photoshop Elements picked up the artwork and opened it without any problems.
(5) Save the opened file as a jpg or png or whatever.
(6) You should now be able to print without any problems.
(7) Alternatively, load the jpg or png into a document or a Desktop Publisher and print away.

I hope this helps.

One suggestion for the 2015 edition would be to include the composer name(s) in the SoundCloud listing. I used the back cover on a separate screen as a work-around, but it would be nice to see the composer info with the files.

Thanks, Michael, for the update. Thought I was losing it! Anyway, I don't have a graphics program that will open .pdf, so I'll await further developments.
