Something Different- an "instant" composer.

Postby KMFrye » Tue Mar 18, 2014 4:28 pm

It's called a "Bach Machine".

Someone at the Canadian Broadcasting Corp came up with this different little "instant composer" that composes "real, two-part counterpoint in the manner of CPE Bach".

More of a novelty than anything, but in the end, it may also serve as something of a learning tool. At any rate, it is kinda unique (in my limited experience)

I printed it an cut it out, but I need the right pins. Straight pins (and push pins) just don't work.

However, all the parts fit. It looks like it's gonna be fun.

Interesting Kevin,

I seem to recall that Mozart made a similar chart with beginnings, middle bits and endings that you could do similar composition tricks with. I know I had a copy, many years ago, but can I find it?

Regards,
John.
