How to use group/part-name-display

Postby blmara » Sat Oct 27, 2007 8:55 am

Hi,

I didn't find any examples of the use of group-name-display etc. in the example files of MusicXML. Is the element meant to be the place for font attributes and other display data and the actual name is still defined at group-name element? Like

... <group-name>Keyboards</group-name>
<group-name-display>
<display-text font-family="Arial" font-size="12" />
</group-name-display>
...

Hello Marko,

Yes, this is just what these elements are designed for. I don't know of any software that supports these elements yet. Hopefully we will be able to add support for them in Dolet for Finale in the not-too-distant future.

Best regards,
