Dreams Do Come True (Ballet)

Postby Rodney Money » Fri Apr 17, 2015 12:33 pm

I am being commissioned to write a ballet, here's a 10 minute preview. Let's see if anyone is actually on this forum anymore: https://app.box.com/s/fkpmk0eej16irwtqtwq5jzyj6p857c5a

Yes, at least me ( :D ) listening to your work.
It's a good one, although not a lover of cinematic sonorities and dance.

The music has a primitive element to it that I find attractive and is certainly in demand by current ballet audiences.

I would like very much to see the dance performed to this. The rhythms are simplistic but very very effective - making it easily adapted by the dancers. Being so Cinematic in nature, I am curious as to whether it could possibly be performed by a live orchestra and get the same grandiose effect.

Would you give us a little more description such as characters, basic scenario, etc.

The forum, such as it is, is alive and well. I think that the restrictions placed on submissions have caused several to look elsewhere to demo their compositions. That is a loss for everyone involved and seems to have taken its toll on the submissions.
