Re: How to use Keyswitches and Reverb?

Hi Sus4, To change from open to the various mutes one needs to enter the appropriate 'note' shortly before the new sound is required. If you look at the piano keyboard at the foot of the Aria window, with a KS sample set loaded, you can see some keys in red (or pink) and to the left of that with the...

Re: Overdub Midi CC Data with GPO?

Hi jlbmusician, The answer is both yes and no, or rather no and yes. GPO itself doesn't record controller messages, apart from fixed settings which can be set in the mixer view and controller view of ARIA, then saved as an "ensemble" file, but ARIA will respond to recorded controller messa...

Re: GPO5 - Tell Me What you Want, What You Really Really Wan

Thank you so much for asking, Gary, It's made my day! Well, how to follow that list? A huge plus one for all that others have requested. Especially strings. Solo, small group capability, e.g. divisi into two, three four. One more cello please, there's a piece I'm sequencing that needs four soloists....

Re: Library Updates?

Ageing hack? Me too! I'll take a good look at the sfz files myself. Many thanks for those. I'm working on a few myself. Swapping some trills for short bows in KS sfz's. More later. I'm really familiar with the layout of the libraries, so no need to post all the details for me. But it's a good idea f...

Re: Real sound for Celtic fiddle

Keith,

That's a very interesting post, thank you for sharing!
Is there any chance that you'd share your altered sfz file with us?

Kind regards,
John.

Re: Library Updates?

Hi Keith, Yes there have been updates, not to the libraries, but to the ARIA player, which fix some of the playback issues that there were with some of the libraries. Take yourself over to here: http://ariaengine.com/support/aria-engine-update/ and download the ARIA engine update, but don't apply it...

Re: Real sound for Celtic fiddle

Have you considered creating two tracks both pointing to the same MIDI channel? That way you can enter all the key switches for alternate articulations on one, and the notes on another. It means too that the 'control' track can be in the bass clef whilst the violin itself is in the normal G clef. Le...

Re: CPO Renaissance Organ

Hi Tom, Sadly, I believe that the original instrument, from which it was sampled, only has four octave keyboards. This, apparently, is not unusual with Renaissance instruments. It was only during the baroque period (I believe) that the consoles expanded to multiple 5 octave keyboards, the range of s...

Re: Garritan and Yamaha Motif

My pleasure, Joe, It is worth while IMO taking a little while (not too long) considering just exactly what it is one wants to achieve, maybe examining too whether or not there might be alternative ways of achieving one's intended outcome and looking around at present and past products that might hel...

Re: Garritan and Yamaha Motif

It says it is zero latency monitoring. I don't know if anyone else here is using it but, if so, they may be able to vouch (or not) for it. Hope this helps. Paula Zero latency monitoring just means that audio flowing into the interface is rerouted directly to the monitor output through the hardware,...
