Clarinet choir assignments in Aria

Using Finale, GPO4 and the Aria player, I'm working on a piece for clarinet choir. The instrumentation is three Bb clarinets, alto clarinet, bass clarinet, and contralto or contrabass clarinet. My concern is the Bb clarinet parts. I currently have 1st clarinet assigned to plr 1 and plr 3, 2nd clarin...

Re: Snare drum snares off sound

Success! It's a side drum sound, and it's midi note value 57. I don't know why this was confounding me so much. Anyway, snare-drum-with-snares-off sound problem solved! Thanks, Steve and Michael. I have returned to happy camperdom. 8-)

Re: Snare drum snares off sound

King freeze: note A4--is that a keyboard reference? Which note would that be in GPO4 basic orchestra percussion in the aria player?

Michael: any suggestions on a snare drum with snares off sound, possibly a good substitute sound?

Thanks!

Re: GPO5 - Tell Me What you Want, What You Really Really Wan

* More smooth, velvety trumpet sounds across all samples. I often have to turn down the trumpet highs considerably in the Aria player to get a smoother, more realistic trumpet sound. * A more realistic suspended cymbal let ring sound. I currently use and it does have a decay, but it's not realistic...

COMB2 and GPO

I own COMB2 and GPO4 and I use them in Finale. Will these libraries work in Sibelius without downloading another set of libraries? Or are the GPO4 and COMB2 libraries for Finale different from those for Sibelius?

Thanks.

Re: Aria Engine Update Windows 1.719

How does one pronounce Plogue anyhow
Plog?
Puhlowg?
Plohgeh?
Plog-gy?
Plo-gay?
Plo-gway?
Plog-gweh?
Peh-log-uh-ay?

I think "Plogue" rhymes with "Vogue."

Re: Aria Engine Update Windows 1.719

Whaddya think, Art ?

I could be wrong, but I think people run into problems with engine updates when the Aria player itself isn't the latest available. So far, so good for me with the engine update.
