Re: Aria Engine Update Windows 1.719

In a moment of bravery this morning, I installed the engine update on both my laptop and desktop machines (both Windows 7). Everything seems to be OK so far.

Aria Engine Update Windows 1.719

I see that Plogue offers an Aria engine update. Has anyone tried this update with the Windows Aria player v1.620? My Aria engine is currently v1.670.

Re: What would you like to see next Garritan product be?

New products? Sure, the addition of new products is aimed at increasing revenue and perhaps expanding the market base. However, before spending resources on new products, normalize all of the Garritan libraries, especially GPO4 and COMB2--some of the samples are much softer than others. Some are far...

Re: On The Road To Bella Coola

When you say you generally use 10:00 - do you mean for the Sends or for the master level of the reverb on the Effects page of ARIA? If you mean the master, try leaving it at the default 12:00, and then based your Send levels on that. As a followup to my post and reverb comment, I got some excellent...

Re: On The Road To Bella Coola

I like this piece--I heard a lot of variety in there with instrument choices and textures, blended and shifted smoothly. I'd love to see a video of the drive--or parts depicted in the music, since your inspiration for this piece was so visual. And a score! One thing--Could the rendering use a touch ...

Re: Studio monitors

I bought a pair of the M-Audio AV40s! I like them a lot, and they make a big difference. I'm hearing parts in my scores that I didn't hear before--separation seems to be more pronounced. I'm also hearing balance and panning differently. Bass, mid-range, and treble all sound different--more easily di...

Re: Rabbi Jacob by Vladimir Cosma

Six months of full-time work and worth every minute! This piece and its rendering are amazing. Did I hear a slight lag in the trumpets, I think, about 8-23 seconds into the piece?

Anyway, congratulations on such a fine work!

Re: Studio monitors

There are some free tools out there to take sound measurements in the listening environment, and no, you don't have to spend $1000s to treat it either. If you're interested, I'll post some links on this thread, later.

Hello, Adriano. Yes, please do post the links! Thanks.
