Is your Volume-controller setting in Logic changing in measure three for some reason? The Aria mixer is likely slaved to Logic as it is in Finale where Finale settings override Aria settings.

How have you assigned a MIDI channel for each WW instrument in Sonar?

I would imagine you could find a way to keep the oboe samples when you upgrade and hope that the new Aria player would load them. I can't think why not unless the sample format has been updated--which I doubt.

Other than loading a pre-existing MIDI file (created elsewhere) into the Aria Player set up with the corresponding channels assigned to the desired instrument sounds, one does not actually "write" music in Aria. Most people who use Aria to create music use it as a plug-in in a DAW such as ...

"Preparing Regions" seems to be a (usually short-lived) message given when the Aria Player loads a sound file (or multiple sound files). No idea what it means, and my experience has been that it does not take noticeably longer (in a PC) than before. I do not, however, have the CFX Grand.

If the Garritan organ was recorded with reverb, you are out of luck. But the Aria player has several pages (Mixer, Effects, Settings, etc.) and I would check the Effects page to see if either Ambiance or Convolution are turned on. Play with the settings to see how that affects your sounds.
