Re: Ultimate Collection & Finale 2012

I expect the Aria plug-in from MM will work fine even if it does not use the latest engine; but you will need to make sure the Aria & engine versions on your two computers are identical or you will almost certainly have trouble moving files back and forth.

Re: Ultimate Collection & Finale 2012

Just do it (over the web) from the MakeMusic site. (Full) Finale allows two authorizations, and I believe Garritan allows at least that many. If you need more specifics, you can file a support inquiry at the MakeMusic site.

Re: Snare drum roll?

There is a specific sample for a snare drum roll.
How to manage a crescendo depends on what program you are using: Finale would require a different process than a DAW.

Re: Aria player cannot find error.

Has DrRandal updated his system to Windows 10? There have been compatibility issues with WIn 10 for some people using Finale, which sounds like what he is using. This appears to be a conflict between Win 10 sound drivers and some sound cards.

Re: COMB too quiet compared to GPO and CPO

Some people use the reverb settings to add (dry) volume to quieter sounds. You could send the COMB sounds through a different Ambiance route (perhaps using a separate instance of Aria) in VST Banks & Effects to set the dry reverb level for those instruments higher.

Re: channel 3/4 not enabled for audio output in Mac?

From the Garritan Aria Manual: Call up the Preferences setup dialog from the Tools menu on the ARIA standalone interface. You’ll see drop-down menus for MIDI Devices, Audio Device API, Audio Devices, Stereo Pair, Sample Rate, and Buffer Size. ... Stereo Pair: Here you can define which of the stereo...

Re: Bouncing Midi Tracks to Audio via the Aria Player

I know nothing about Pro Tools, but if I wanted to do what you describe in SONAR, I would make sure to use the "Multi" Aria VST so I could route each MIDI instrument assignment to a different channel.
