Re: Surf may be up- testing a backing track (Pipeline)

Randy- thank you for all this. I don't know how it happened, but somehow, the original file I put up (three times!) got messed up and didn't convert when I ran it through my SHUANG's converter, despite coming out with the .mp3 appendage. I completely missed the size issue, so now I will watch for it...

Re: Surf may be up- testing a backing track (Pipeline)

It does that to you also... sigh. It worked so well on the Christmas tune, but I am about ready to give up on Box. I've put eight or nine songs up since our Garritan Christmas album and only one has worked the way it's supposed to. Meantime, the download link does seem to work.... I'll leave it up f...

Re: Studio monitors

Great, Art! I am sure you'll enjoy 'em. Just one last little note about hooking them up, fyi. Be sure to keep the speaker wires in phase when you plug everything in. My set uses guillotine clips and bare wire (tinned with solder) to connect the speakers. If you don't keep the wire between the two in...

Re: Studio monitors

It's not entirely scientific, but when I was making my decision on powered vs passive, two things helped me out: 1- Space saving. Fewer wires, no need for an external amplifier, one less item to pack away if I went out to record remotely. 2- Matching. Once you get past the real entry-level stuff, th...

Re: Studio monitors

Those M-Audio AV-40's work a treat! I have a set and wouldn't trade em. Worthwile investment at a budget price.

Re: Community Christmas 2014 (Volume 11)

If it comes up again, I'm in- no matter which site. In fact, per my wife's suggestion, I have a piece in mind already.
