Applying XSL to 3.0 xml produces 2.0 xml

I am starting to integrate the reading of MusicXml 3.0 into my application. I need to transform the file from partwise to timewise. I have downloaded the files from the site and apply the transformation with parttime.xsl. However, this is producing a MusicXML 2.0 file. In the xsl there is this state...

Parenthesis around chord symbols

For a chord that has parenthesis around it - ie (G) - how should the harmony node be built ? I have only seen that the kind node has such attributes as - parentheses-degrees - bracket-degrees but these, as their name suggests, apply to the degrees and not to the whole chord symbol. Is this something...

Re: Correctly interpretting chord harmony nodes

Thank you Michael for these clarifications. Taking into account your comments about 1 to 1 semantic matching, I realise that I need to be able to correctly parse these degree nodes to obtain, where possible, the intended chord spelling. In my parser up to now I have been relying on the text attribut...

Correctly interpretting chord harmony nodes

Good evening (at least it is here) , I am starting to work with musicxml exports from the release candidate of MuseScore and need to validate chord exports. This is what I get when I export the chord F#9sus4 <harmony print-frame="no"> <root> <root-step>F</root-step> <root-alter>1</root-alt...

Re: Add extra parts mid score

Great, thank you Michael. I have been using MuseScore for the creation of my scores before using MusicXML as a "transport" into my own application. This means, I will have to hand edit the output as MuseScore does not permit this kind of layout, in the first place, and, as far as I can see...

Add extra parts mid score

Hello,

In some scores - notably those used in churches - a piece can start with a piano intro of, say, 12 bars before the vocal stave is shown.
So, we have a grand staff for 12 bars and then, above the grand staff, a new, voice staff is added.

How can this be coded/represented in MusicXML ?
