Re: Question About Panning In GPO5

After a quick look at a few of the panning set ups, initially just the SAM French horns compared to the original GPO4 ones, what I observe is that the new ones don't all coincide with the old ones. In this case they are all panned left of centre, but some more than others. For example the SAM French...

Re: Question About Panning In GPO5

Michael, Now I've completed the xml to restore the stereo stage (see pictures at NS forum) to the new SAM brass instruments in the ARIA GUI (very quick and easy), I can take a look at this feature. I did take a look at some code and it seemed to position the pan centrally. If I can sort out what's g...

Re: Question About Panning In GPO5

Quick answer, Michael, I'm not sure about GPO5 instruments. Certainly in GPO4 all instruments seemed to be panned to an accepted modern position within the orchestra, and the stereo stage depth accordingly. 1st and 2nd strings left a bit, violas right a bit, cellos and basses further right. I've bee...

Update to GPO5.01 update.

It seemed appropriate for me to eat a little humble pie. I have made some mistakes in my recent posts about the GPO5.01 update released on the 1st of April. Mea culpa. My sincere apologies to one and all, including MM, Gary and his employees and contractors. :( After considerable extra huntin...

Re: Aria Player Version 1.872

And a quick tip.

I always do a disk defrag after the installation.
I usually find that a thousand or more files are fragmented afterwards.
My favourite is one by auslogics not the one that comes with Windows.

Re: Aria Player Version 1.872

Simple answer:
No, leave it where it is.
The new one installs over the top ... lengthily.

Re: Aria Player Version 1.872

Like you, Derrek, I deprecate the use of Farcebook and Twit for communications. Cartesius, Gary IS Makemusic. He's a director of the company. He became one when he sold his company to the precursor of MM, oh, more than a year ago now. So it's Gary and his MM staff. And, I think you misunderstood me,...

Re: Aria Player Version 1.872

It does seem to be turning into a saga doesn't it? Thanks for the details Cartesius. Now there is an announcement on the Garritan blog page. From that I surmise that the drop in .exe file size is probably due to the removal of the old, outdated ARIA pdf. It's replaced with a link to the on-line manu...
