Re: Support

Hi Matthew, For goodness' sake don't hold your breath, Matthew! ;-) I posted a bug I'd found in one of the sfz files in GPO4 on the 7th of December. I received an acknowledgement on the 18th, and since then, nothing! I have no evidence to substantiate this, but I'd say the company seems to be experi...

Re: Vibrato control in JABB instruments

Hi Hanoj, The mod wheel cannot be used for this as it's assigned to control volume. However, if you're using the expression pedal to control loudness, perhaps within your keyboard's set up you may be able to 'remap' the mod wheel to channel aftertouch. Many MIDI keyboard controllers can do this rema...

Re: GPO5 - Tell Me What you Want, What You Really Really Wan

I guess I should change my signature then to "author of" MIDI tutorials.

Re-reading my last post I wonder what "Garriatn (sic) products" are.

My father always taught me never to apologise too much.
"Once is enough!" he would say. ;-)

Regards,
John.

Re: Portamento

Excellent post Credo, So, play a note, engage the legato control (cc#64 or cc#68 as in Credo's post) then apply cc#20 before the next note, play the next note and you will get a slide from the first to the second note. In a MIDI file the notes should overlap. If the portamento is no longer required,...

Hi David,

I'm not the admin you know, just an enthusiastic user of Garriatn products.

Re: GPO5 - Tell Me What you Want, What You Really Really Wan

Hi Christopher, No I didn't take your post as being either rude or agitated, far from it. It was an earlier post by another that seemed rather critical. Please note that I made no ad hominem attacks, and a did say also "last few requests", so I wasn't specifically picking out any one post....

Re: GPO5 - Tell Me What you Want, What You Really Really Wan

Can't let this go without comment: It seems that some of the last few requests are getting slightly unrealistic. I think for most people the prime criterion is to keep the price reasonable. After all, I can get most of what has been asked for recently in libraries that cost anything from three to te...

Re: Instrument still sounds from keyboard when ModWhl = 0%

Hi David, My previous post about the oboe d'amore is here: http://forums.makemusic.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2776 . It describes how I found a glitch in a held note (in the loop points) and cured it. If you want the file I can send it. Yes, it was Seb's post over in the Plogue forum to which I was...

Re: Instrument still sounds from keyboard when ModWhl = 0%

Hi David, I'm wrong! Seb tells us over in the Plogue forum it's the amplitude_curvecc1= setting. At the moment I can't find this in Simon Caan's book, but I haven't done a thorough search yet. It may be an Aria engine specific sfz command. Seb's response carries a health warning! ;-) Did you catch m...
