Re: GPO4 in Sibelius

Percussion staves that have more than one instrument on the same staff have always given me issues when moving a score to a different machine that isn't set up EXACTLY like the one the score was built with. When I'm loading up a score that someone has made and shared, I just have to tweak it for pla...

Re: Support

I used the makemusic web-system to open a support ticket back in January. I'd filed it at some weird time just before an extended weekend holiday (in the US anyway). The following Tuesday I got a response by noon...so I don't think that's too bad considering the strange time I opened the ticket. My ...

Re: Problem creating multi-timbral in Pro X

I've watched the tutorial a few times and I think that it is not completely correct. I'm able to create a multi-timbral set up in Logic Pro X using ARIA player, but all the tracks seems to be connected to each other. If I press the S (solo) button all the tracks light up. That shouldn't be. Only th...

Re: CFX multi

When I load CFX in Pro Tools, I get 2 choices - CFX Concert Grand and CFX Concert Grand multi. When I choose CFX multi, 16 plugin input choices show up on my audio tracks, in the same way they do for Kontakt, BFD, Omnisphere, etc. When I choose regular CFX they don't. Yet I don't see a way to have ...

Re: CFX - Volume ?

I don't have that particular product, but I'm guessing that setting a controller on your keyboard and/or in your DAW to CC#7 would most likely do channel volume/gain, while CC#11 could be used to send expression (sometimes interpreted as volume/gain in MIDI instruments). For Pan try CC#10. Those are...

Re: Vibrato control in JABB instruments

If your MIDI keyboard can't send aftertouch, and doesn't have a way to program a slider/pot/etc. Check the manual of the keyboard...most will have some method for sending that data somehow, I.E. mAudio has a few models with a CC#131 listed that can be sent with a slider/pot/wheel...which is obviousl...

Re: mod wheel CC1 resets to zero

Aria doesn't reset itself once it has initially loaded your instruments with their saved settings. If this is happening it would be due to settings in your sequencer. Many sequencers reset controllers upon tapping the stop button. They usually have a way to disable that somewhere in their options. S...

Re: Brass flutter tongue?

I'm able to get a decent flutter tongue using a MIDI Echo Insert. In my case CuBase 8 Pro has a bunch of inserts for non destructively manipulating midi. I've only needed it once and considered just fiddling with really small values of the 'snap/quantize' feature in one my midi editors and drawing i...

Re: Overdub Midi CC Data with GPO?

Thanks John! Glad to hear that ARIA supports it. I am still just on a trial with Reaper so I'm open to getting something else if there's an easier DAW to use for this for Mac. If anyone is familiar with a tutorial on how to do this specifically (I have scoured the web for tutorials without success)...

Re: Why no Stick Click sample in JABB3?

Tried it here as well... The stuff in the GM Jazz and Brush sets from keys D#0 through G#0 are missing here as well. If it's the standard Jazz Kit maybe the side stick on C#1 can be a viable substitute? I'm just a fellow user so I'm hesitant to offer a patch to extend the actual drum sets, but I can...
