RE: Terms for slides into and out of notes

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the reference. I have the Ross book but had missed that page. It's interesting to see he agrees with Read on the "plop" and "doit". RE: Ave Maria sample is bad?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for pointing this out! Yes, the tuplet problems you see in the Ave Maria sample are due to a bug in Dolet's tuplet handling. We hope to have this fixed in the next maintenance release, and we'll update the sample file accordingly.

Terms for slides into and out of notes

Are there generic names for sliding into a note from above, or sliding out of a note to a higher pitch? In English, the term "scoop" seems fairly common for sliding into a note from below, and "fall-off" for sliding out of a note to a lower pitch. But slides from or to higher pitches seem less commo...

RE: getting a note list from MusicXML

Hi Jane, Getting a list of notes from XPath should be just as straightforward as getting a list of measures. You should not have to iterate over the measures, and then over the notes. If you can send the current XPath (or set of XPaths) that you are using, I'll see if I can send you some simpler / m...

Most of the changes are in note.dtd, with some ...
