Re: Big Top Morning

Thank you all for your kind remarks. I am working hard in both worlds of composing and sound mixing so your compliments are very encouraging!

Cheers!

Big Top Morning

I thought I would post another upbeat piece. I actually did this with a series of circus themed short pieces. I hope you enjoy it.

Re: Garritan and Yamaha Motif

Gotcha. I used to do a similar setup. You may already know this but you will need something akin to what John mentioned - Creative/EMU 1616m which is an internal PCI card for the laptop but, you can also get an external one like this TASCAM interface. I am not a TASCAM rep, nor do I have this produc...

Re: Garritan and Yamaha Motif

Hello Joe, This probably a stupid question but why are you mixing down on your workstation? Did your Yamaha come with Cubase? I used to own a Yamaha workstation and found it to be a bear to work with and I was overjoyed when I was able to use it with a DAW. I wish I had some info to offer. I have a ...

Re: Smalltown Daily

Thank you for your kind remarks, guys. I'm not sure why that idea came to me. I think I must have been watching a film and saw a scene that prompted me. I like writing simple cheerful pieces. I know they are not complex but they are an easy listen for most passers by and I enjoy writing them. I also...

Smalltown Daily

Hi Folks, This is kind of a test post. I just signed up for Soundcloud and I wanted to see how to post music from it here. I wrote this piece to depict a paperboy delivery the news on his bike around a quiet neighborhood. I hope that it evokes these images for you too. https://soundcloud.com/punkduc...

Re: Death Valley

Hi Steve, This is a good piece on it's own. You don't need to mold or shape it into what someone else thinks sounds decent unless you are on their payroll. You made it clear that your piece is a work in progress, and as such, I say it is a darn good start! It clearly presents the genre you're going ...

Re: The reason this Forum is rather dead

It is hard to compete with the original forum over at Northern Sounds. Gary and his team were involved in all aspects of launching and supporting their products. They made every effort to create a nurturing environment for all their customers. It's rare that you see a president and his software deve...
