Re: A Winter Memory

Bob, thank you for listening. The piece is written in the key of C, but is modal in effect, easily switching from major to minor and using a couple of jazz progressions. I have always been fond of counter point and made an effort to present it though out this selection.

A Winter Memory

Last winter with temperature around 5 below zero, found my dog and me sitting along the bank of Elm Lake. There was no wind. In the near total silence we could see a cosmos of stars reflected on the frozen lake: Caught between the stars above and the stars below. All GPO5. https://app.box.com/s/57vp...

Re: GPO5 USB FLASH DRIVE

I also ordered both the download and hard copies. At present I am using Finale 2014.5.6359, Aria Player 1.860, and Aria Engine 1.872. I haven't found any other upgrades beyond these. So I guess I will store the hard copy GPO5 away for safe keeping without loading it onto my computer.

GPO5 USB FLASH DRIVE

I received in the mail a GPO5 flash drive. The shipping order says it contains Garritan Personal Orchestra 5 Media Kit (1) and GPO5 Upgrade (1). However, there is no upgrade that I can find on the flash drive. I had downloaded and activated GPO5 some time ago. Is there any reason to install the flas...

Re: Realism... a partial how-to

You're list of ideas was not at all too long and very, very helpful. I cannot agree more about knowing how the instruments are played and what their practical ranges are. While some composers (Stravinsky and his ultra high range for bassoon comes quickly to mind), a more realistic and pleasing sound...

Re: GPO5 - Tell Me What you Want, What You Really Really Wan

Does ANYONE have ANY information on GPO5 delivery? References to it on MM site go to "404 Error" pop-ups with no recent updates, and the February 1, 2016 release date is long gone.

Re: film music

There are a number of sites where independent directors are looking for music for indie flms and videos. That would probably be your best bet. Google "indie films" and see what you can find.
