Durations need to be positive numbers to validate against the MusicXML XSD. That makam dataset unfortunately had a lot of MusicXML problems when it was first released. I don't recall if they have worked to fix those issues since then.

Sibelius plug-ins only work with the full version of Sibelius, not Sibelius Student or Sibelius First.

Most programs will export different MusicXML files than they import. Their internal data structures are different than MusicXML's data structures. Your MusicXML code is correct. Finale has some issues with importing MusicXML ties in this type of situation.

The continue curve points can be used in two different ways. One is to specify the position of the curve at a system break. The other is to allow multiple bezier curves to be combined together to form complex curves with many inflection points. I don't know any software that is using the latter case...

Hans, we have finally found and fixed the problem with the incorrect percussion notes. This fix will be in the next Finale and Dolet for Finale releases.
