Re: grace note

However, I would think a file exported by the Dolet for Sibelius plug-in would have a type element for each grace note. If you have access to the original Sibelius file, could you please email it to me so I can investigate? Thanks! It was taken form here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/12149 A typ...

grace note

Hi Michael, according to the DTD a grace note does not have a duration, but also it is not required to have a type-tag. Indeed I stumbled over a dolet-created sibelius-export with graces-notes not having either of both. PriMus crashed because of an undefined note-value. That does not make sense to m...

Re: Verse numbers

I just tried to export/import lyrics with verse numbers in finale 2014 and observed, that the verse figures vanished after reimport. Am I right, that there is not yet any semantic support for verse numbers? (so that I don't have to look any further) The workaround to separate a number from the real ...

appearance line-width enclosure

Hi Michael,

I could not find out , what the term "enclosure" in
"appearance => line-width => enclosure" means.

It is simply listed in the comment of the DTD but there's no explaination.

Can you help?

Re: Horizontal lines (pull/push accordion)

Michael, I've sent the example offlist. Regards, Christof > Hello Christof, Thank you for the question. Could you please post a link to a picture showing this notation? There might a more general MusicXML element that you could use for this. I would need to see an example first though. Best regards,...

Horizontal lines (pull/push accordion)

Hi Michael,

the notation for diatonic accordion uses horizontal lines to mark ranges of notes, where the instrument is pushed instead of pulled.

Is there a way to represent this in MusicXML ?

Re: lyrics number

Hi Michael, a question about "number" in lyrics: The DTD says "The lyric number indicates multiple lines" But what does this finally mean? I thought of course, that it identicies the order. Dolet Sibelius produces for example: <lyric number='1' name='verse' default-y='-82'> <syllabic>single</syllabi...
