Because this is the purpose of a DAW, to get the best possible recording. Using reverb and other effects in Logic, you can have more individual control over them. Google "using reverb in Logic" to get some ideas on how to approach it.

I don't have GIO, so I can't give you any specifics with that library. Depending on what DAW you're using, you can make your own risers pretty easily. A riser is an orchestral hit played backwards. Create a strong dynamic hit with whatever instruments you choose. Some will decay fast, others slower....
