You can check the Aria Player version and the Aria Engine version on the Settings tab of the Aria player. If you cannot find it, you probably do not have a recent version.

The newer versions of the player also have a link to check for updates.

The various Garritan libraries (perhaps excepting the new piano) all use the same Aria player. Finale's Human Playback settings activate the Jazz expressions (how well, I am not willing to say). If you are using the sounds outside of Finale, I guess you have to create the effects yourself.

My Aria player has no trouble accessing both GPO and GPO 5 from the same player. I used the standard installation. Are you sure your installation was not corrupted, that you have the most recent Aria player(s), and that you have authorized both the GPO and GPO 5 files?

Have you looked at the Jazz articulations? Some are set up to affect the sound via Human Playback.

No great loss closing this forum since it has effectively been moribund since experienced users tried it and gave up in favor of the Northern Sounds forum when they discovered it was poorly monitored and (perhaps therefore) infrequently used by experienced Garritan clients.
