since they share the same KS layout, you add GPO solo violin staff and then change it to the desired SoloViolin sound via VST interface.

Notion works well with GPO — almost out of the box.
MakeMusic's own PrintMusic costs (far) less than Finale:
I suppose it's fine-tuned to work with Garritan...

Hi Erick. Sadly, John's reply is 100% true. You can still introduce a bit of variation in your string parts altering a bit the pitch of every instance and varying the starting point of each note. This will not change the vibrato speed, but it will avoid your violins to sound like a cheap transistor ...
